Second night of auditions for Blithe Spirit , to include cold readings from the script. Auditioners are encouraged to attend both nights of auditions.

 Roles: 

The ensemble cast includes two men: Charles Condomine and Dr. Bradman, and five women: Charles' second wife, Ruth; Charles' first wife, Elvira; Madame Arcati; Mrs. Bradman and Edith, a maid. Age is only relevant with respect to the other characters, but most characters must appear to be in their mid-30s to mid-60s.

Synopsis:

Comedy/farce: Writer Charles Condomine and his wife Ruth invite their friends, Dr. and Mrs. Bradman, to a séance conducted by Madame Arcati in preparation for Charles' new novel. Madame Arcati makes contact with a spirit who wants to communicate with Charles, and he hears a voice that no one else does. Charles discovers that his first wife, Elvira, who died seven years ago, has materialized in his living room, causing chaos between him and Ruth. Ruth seeks Madame Arcati's help getting rid of Elvira, but she does not know how. The Condomine house becomes too-tight quarters for Elvira, controlling Ruth, and Charles who is caught between the two, leading to a series of accidents that raises Ruth's suspicions about Elvira's intentions. Madame Arcati is called in once again to see if she can fix everything.
