Auditions for The Kent County Theatre Guild production of “The Kitchen Witches” by Caroline Smith will be held at the Patchwork Playhouse, 140 E Roosevelt Avenue, Dover, at 5pm on February 20th.

Isobel Lomax and Dolly Biddle are two cable-access cooking show hostesses who have hated each other for thirty years, ever since Larry Biddle dated one and married the other. When circumstances put them together on a TV show called The Kitchen Witches, the insults are flung harder than the food! Dolly’s long-suffering TV-producer son, Stephen, tries to keep them on track, but as long as Dolly’s dressing room is one inch closer to the set than Isobel’s, it’s a losing battle, and the show becomes a ratings smash as Dolly and Isobel top both Martha Stewart and Jerry Springer!

Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script as well as a short improv activity.

Actors must commit to being available for all performances; May 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd at 8pm and a Sunday matinee on May 16th at 2pm as well as the week prior to opening for tech week.
