Calling teens ages 13 through 19 who want to learn all about how to put on a show! The Kent County Theatre Guild’s Teen Apprenticeship Program is a free opportunity for teens with limited or no theater experience to get hands-on training while you create a show for the Patchwork Playhouse stage.
Our program focuses on all aspects of theater, including stage performance, backstage management, set design, and lighting and sound magic. There’s a part for everybody, whether you want to be on stage, backstage or out in the house!
Auditions consist of cold readings from Whoopee Jr. scripts. Everyone who auditions will have either an acting role or a backstage role for Act 1 of the selected TAP production, and everybody in the troupe will have an onstage role in Act 2. Rehearsals begin at the end of April and end with 3 performances in front of a live audience in mid-June.
Schedule for this TAP Session
Read-through and play announcement: Friday, April 29
