Director John Moller seeks performers for the Kent County Theatre Guild’s production of Vanities by Jack Heifner. 

Vanities is a comedy-drama about growing.  Set at three points from the mid-60's through the mid-70's, this period piece spans the lives of three high school girls as they grow from the women they expect to become into the women they truly became. The play involves adult themes and language.  

Needed are three women between the ages of 18 and 45; each will play the same role at 3 different ages. 

• Act 1 requires performers to portray high school seniors, circa 1963.

• Act 2 requires performers to portray college seniors, circa 1968

• Act 3 requires performers to portray the characters approximately 6 years later, in1974.

Auditions will take place on Sunday, December 11 and Monday, December 12 at 6:30 p.m. and consist of cold readings from the script. Performers should be advised that they will be asked to read the same character in all 3 time periods throughout the audition process. 

The director is willing to consider non-traditional casting in regards to race and ethnicity, but is not willing to consider non-traditional casting in regards to gender for this production.

Performance dates are: Fridays and Saturdays February 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25 at 8pm, with a Sunday Matinee on February 19 at 2pm. Performers are required to be at all performances and all rehearsals the week prior to the show (February 5 through 9th.)
